Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Lodestar — plain-spoken where we can be. Please read it before you publish your business to the agent web.

Last updated July 13, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Lodestar (the “service”). Lodestar is operated by Eastbase Studio(“we”, “us”, the “operator”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. You can reach us at support@eastbase.studio.

1. What Lodestar does

Lodestar gives a business a machine-facing presence so AI agents can discover it, answer questions about it from facts you provide, and send it inquiries. Depending on your plan, this can include public, machine-readable surfaces — llms.txt, llms-full.txt, schema.org JSON-LD, a /.well-known discovery document, a human-readable profile page, and a per-business MCP server — plus optional importing of business facts from a website you provide, AI-assisted content drafting, grounded answers through an ask tool, agent-submitted inquiries, agent analytics, and optimization suggestions. It is a Business-to-Agent presence tool, not a search-engine optimization (SEO) service. One business is supported per account.

2. Your account and authority

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and you may only use Lodestar for a business you own, operate, or are otherwise authorized to represent.

3. Your content is public by design

When you publish your profile, the business information you enter is served deliberately public and machine-readable. This includes your published profile facts, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, schema.org JSON-LD, the /.well-known discovery document, your MCP server resources, and your public profile page. Because these surfaces are public, they may be fetched, cached, copied, indexed, or stored by third-party AI agents, assistants, and crawlers beyond our control, and removing or unpublishing content from Lodestar does not guarantee its removal from those third parties. Don't publish anything you wouldn't want public.

4. Your responsibility for published content

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of everything you publish and for having the right to share it. You must not publish or submit content that is private, confidential, misleading, unlawful, infringing, regulated, or sensitive (for example, someone else's personal data, payment-card data, health information, or government identifiers), and you must have the authority to represent the business you describe. You can move your profile back to draft or unpublish it at any time from the dashboard.

5. Importing from a website

If you ask Lodestar to import content from a website, you confirm that you own, operate, or are authorized to use that website and its content. You authorize Lodestar to fetch, parse, summarize, transform, and use that content to create and maintain your business profile and machine-facing surfaces. You remain responsible for reviewing imported content before you publish it.

6. AI-assisted content and grounded answers

Lodestar uses AI (currently OpenAI models through the OpenAI API, with an operator-controlled fallback provider) to help draft profile content, generate optimization suggestions, triage inquiries, and answer agent questions through the grounded ask tool. Lodestar is designed to ground answers in the facts you provide and to avoid guessing— citing the field an answer came from and reporting when something isn't on file rather than filling the gap. Even so, AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. You remain responsible for reviewing AI-drafted content before publishing, for keeping your profile facts accurate, and for the answers your agents give on your behalf — treat them as your own statements.

7. Inquiries and leads

Agents can submit inquiries (leads) to you on a customer's behalf. We pass these through and apply lightweight automated triage to help you prioritize, but we do not verify the identity, intent, accuracy, legality, or quality of any inquiry. You are responsible for how you respond to leads and for complying with applicable privacy, consumer-protection, anti-spam, and electronic-communication laws when you contact people.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Publish false, misleading, unlawful, or infringing content.
  • Impersonate a business or person, or misrepresent your authority to act for a business.
  • Probe, overload, or interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or tenant isolation.
  • Use the service to send spam or unlawful communications.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these Terms, including unpublishing a profile where required.

9. Protecting the service

To keep the service reliable and to prevent abuse, spam, scraping, excessive load, or malicious use, we may rate-limit, throttle, filter, block, or suspend access to the public and MCP endpoints, including for specific clients, businesses, or IP addresses, with or without notice.

10. Plans, billing, and trials

Paid plans are billed on a subscription basis and include a 14-day free trial. An active subscription is what keeps your agent surfaces live. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezyas our Merchant of Record, and your purchase may also be subject to Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms shown at checkout. Cancellation, refunds, trials, and plan changes are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms.

11. Intellectual property

You keep all rights to the business content you provide and grant us the licence needed to host, format, publish, and serve it across the agent surfaces as you direct. The Lodestar software, design, and brand remain ours.

12. No guarantee of results

Lodestar makes your business legible to agents; it does not control them. We do not guarantee that any AI agent, assistant, search engine, crawler, platform, or customer will discover, index, display, trust, cite, contact, rank, recommend, or act on your profile. We also do not guarantee any leads, conversions, revenue, rankings, or business outcomes.

13. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but provide it “as is” without uptime guarantees. We may change, add, or remove features over time. If we make a material change that reduces a core paid feature, we'll aim to give reasonable notice.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

16. Termination

You may stop using Lodestar and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. On termination, your agent surfaces stop being served; see the Privacy Policy for how data is handled afterward.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator, Eastbase Studio, is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes the mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
